2018 Championship Week Primer-Pac-12

When Oregon upset Kansas in the Midwest Regional Final last year and made the Final Four, they were the first Pac-12 team to make the game's biggest stage since 2008. Another run seems unlikely this year, however, as the Pac-12 is down this year as compared to last year. The Pac-12 champion Arizona is hanging around the four or the five seed line, and there are only three or four teams projected to go dancing from this conference overall.

The tournament will have all 12 teams playing in four rounds. The top four teams received a bye to the quarterfinals. The entire tournament will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

First Round-Wednesday, March 7th
#9 Arizona State vs. #8 Colorado
#12 California vs. #5 Stanford
#10 Oregon State vs. #7 Washington
#11 Washington State vs. #6 Oregon

Quarterfinals-Thursday, March 8th
#9 Arizona State vs. #1 Arizona
#5 Stanford vs. #4 UCLA
#10 Oregon State vs. #2 USC
#6 Oregon vs. #3 Utah

Semifinals-Friday, March 9th
#4 UCLA vs. #1 Arizona
#3 Utah vs. #2 USC

Final-Saturday, March 10th
These crosstown rivals may or may not be on the good side of the bubble going into the tournament, so it is tough to say if the winner of this game could be considered a bid thief. Regardless, these two teams met at the end of the season with UCLA getting the win and I expect that the Bruins will do so again, which would be a nice bookend to a troubled season.

UCLA 78, USC 69
