This is only the second year that the Ivy League has held a conference tournament. The conference had not had a tournament prior to this and gave the automatic bid to the regular season champion. In years like this year, there would have been a playoff game to break up the tie, though that no longer has a purpose with the tournament. The champion last year was Princeton, who will not have a chance to repeat this year.
The top four teams made the Ivy League tournament. The tournament will take place at the Palestra in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Semifinals-Saturday, March 10th
#4 Cornell vs. #1 Harvard
#3 Yale vs. #2 Penn
Final-Sunday, March 11th
Penn and Harvard split the season series this year, with each team winning at home. Since this game will be on Penn's home court, it stands to reason that they will do so again and make the NCAA Tournament.
