When I started counting down the conference champions, I did not need to keep track of the Patriot League because Bucknell had already won the conference outright. The Bison won the Patriot League by an astounding four games, only dropping two games to Boston University and Lehigh. The Patriot League itself usually sends bottom seeded teams, but that has not necessarily stopped them; Lehigh and Bucknell both have major NCAA Tournament upsets to their name in this century.
The Patriot League will have all ten teams in a four round tournament. Each game will be hosted by the higher seed.
First Round-Tuesday, February 27th
#9 Army at #8 Loyola (MD)
#10 American at #7 Lafayette
Quarterfinals-Thursday, March 1st
#8 Loyola (MD) at #1 Bucknell
#5 Boston University at #4 Lehigh
#7 Lafayette at #2 Colgate
#6 Holy Cross at #3 Navy
Semifinals-Sunday, March 4th
#5 Boston University at #1 Bucknell
#7 Lafayette at #3 Navy
Final-Wednesday, March 7th
Bucknell has been the best team of the conference from start to finish. While not impossible, it's hard to imagine a scenario in which the Bison do not go back to the NCAA Tournament. I believe that they will, making their second straight appearance.
